Corinne

I am originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, but I have lived in Ottawa since 1998. I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle including hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding/skiing, and ultimate frisbee. In addition, I have practiced many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, breakdancing and of course, pole dancing. I have always had a passion for dance, and when pole dancing became regarded as a form of exercise, I saw it as a great opportunity to offer women in Ottawa this fun, sensual, and challenging workout. In 2002, I graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. I have worked in the private and public sectors in accounting and finance. However, I was never quite satisfied with any of my jobs, and decided I needed to make a career change and pursue my passion. I began teaching home pole dancing parties for bachelorettes, and birthdays in 2007. Then in 2008 I taught pole fitness classes at a former Ottawa gym Florida Fitness, before opening the 3Sixty studio in 2009. I am also a Certified Fitness Instructor with Can-Fit-Pro.

Lyne

I was born and raised in Gatineau, and I became interested in pole dancing in 2006 while watching Oprah. Women of different ages and body types demonstrated and spoke about what pole dancing had done for them. Many of the women said pole dancing brought them more than just a great way to get fit; it gave them self confidence, and self worth. It also gave them an opportunity to do something for themselves, and a place where they could exercise in a women-only environment. After the show I thought to myself, since my children are well into their teens now, I need to do something for me. I need to get fit, and I don't feel comfortable going to a gym. After doing some research I found a course for pole dancing so I signed up! In 2009 when 3Sixty opened I became a pole dancing instructor! Now in my forties, I’m 20 pounds lighter, and in the best mental and physical shape of my life! This could be you! Come join me and start your own personal journey! Update: Lyne placed 1st in the Masters Division, (age 40+), at the 2012 Ontario Pole Fitness Championships! She went on to place 4th at the 2012 Canadian Pole Fitness Championships!

Tina

I was born and raised in Ottawa. I am now married with 2 little girls and still here! I have always loved exercise. I trained in gymnastics for 8 years, and then learned a variety of types of dance, such as jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip-hop over the next 9 years. I discovered pole dancing in Ottawa at Sexaplooza in 2009. The whole idea of a fun, flirty, and acrobatic way of exercising got me hooked. I began taking Corinne's class with a friend in February 2009, and have been in love with it since the first five minutes! My friends even threw me a pole party for my bachelorette in August 2009. It was an amazing way to loosen everyone up, and get everyone excited for the big night out! I love that pole dancing gives my body a great workout, and my strength and flexibility continue to improve. Pole was an amazing way for me to get back to me after my pregnancies - I'm in better shape now than I was before having kids! I am a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor, specialized in teaching youth through adults. I look forward to seeing you in my classes, and getting you as excited about pole dancing as I am!

Sheena

I grew up in the rural farm town of Seeley's Bay near Kingston. I moved to Ottawa for university in 2003. I have a Baccalaureate in Communications from the University of Ottawa, and a Journalism Diploma from Algonquin College. I enjoy swimming, hiking and snowboarding. As a young child I took dance classes, including ballet, jazz, and tap. However, that ended in elementary school. I learned about pole dancing at my cousin Tina's bachelorette party in August 2009. Back then I was out of shape and very self-conscious about my body. I had started working out at home but was having trouble staying motivated. I had an amazing time at the bachelorette party. It was a relaxing and fun atmosphere, and Corinne was very positive and encouraging. Although I was very nervous at first, over the course of the party I loosened up. I was also amazed at how athletic pole dancing is, and how much strength is required to pull off the advanced tricks Corinne and Tina showed us. I never thought I would be able to do that. After mentioning the party to a friend, she suggested we sign up for classes. We did in September 2009, and I haven't looked back. Pole has been an amazing experience for me, and is helping me get into shape. Since I started, I've lost over 20 pounds and have gained a lot of strength and confidence. I encourage everyone to try it! No matter how shy you are, trust me! I hope you sign up for my class, and I will strive to give you the same great experience I've had.

Celina

Born and raised in Ottawa, I'm a city girl with a love for the great outdoors. I love to walk, hike, sunbathe, and pole dance of course! Pole fitness keeps me happy, in shape, and also brings out my inner "sexy girl." ;)! I tried pole dancing for the first time in 2009, and haven't stopped spinning since. I love working at 3Sixty because it is a fun, safe, supportive, and inclusive studio. With no formal training in dance, I am a great example of how pole fitness can be learned by anyone, at any age, regardless of fitness level or dance background. In 2014 I became a certified yoga instructor, so I'm always there to help improve your flexibility, strength and balance on the pole. Happy pole-ing!

Jenny

I have lived most of my life in rural Ottawa, with a couple of years abroad in Australia in 2005 and 2011. I received my BA in Environmental Studies & Earth Sciences in 2013. I have my “Leaders in Action”, ‘Strength Fitness” and “Basic Theory” courses as certified by the Ontario Fitness Council. I have always been a very active person. I spend alot of my time outdoors hiking, camping, canoeing and kayaking, often with my dogs. I also love rock climbing and, of course, dance. I have 7 seven years of ballet training from the age of 6 to 14. My journey in Ballet had me dance in two productions with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet at the NAC, along with participating in their summer program. After ballet I did a few years of competitive Synchronized Swimming. I discovered pole in 2009 when 3Sixty opened. I picked up the sport quickly and began to compete at the national level in 2010. Since then I have placed 5th in Canada and I have consistently placed within the top two at the provincial level. I love pole as it keeps me super fit and I am always challenged as this sport continues to grow and develop.

Tracy

I was born and raised in Ottawa. I have always had a love for sports and outdoor adventure! It’s very rare to see me sitting down reading a book! From hockey to scuba diving, white water canoeing to rock climbing, I’m always doing something! I took a level one pole class many years ago and was quite frustrated (but determined) because I wasn't much of a dancer. I decided I’d buy a pole and teach myself! So a few years went by and only a little bit of pole here and there. Corinne emailed me looking for instructors! I took this as a great opportunity to really get back into pole dancing and push myself to learn, grow confidence, and have fun. This is one of the healthiest, most rewarding experiences ever! I’ve lost 12lbs and am in better shape than when I was playing competitive hockey! It’s a blast seeing ladies develop and grow through the levels! I truly believe that every woman should give this a shot!

Jessica

Raised in Ottawa, I’m a stay at home mother of three, with a degree in Biotechnology. I love to pole, and have been teaching pole since 2007. Teaching at 3Sixty is a dream come true. It's the perfect fitness activity for toning and getting back in pre-baby weight and shape. The classes are a great escape from the stress of life, and are really fun! I believe every women and their husband can benefit from pole class! Not only do you build up strength and fitness, but you also feel empowered and in control of your body and your life. Learning to love yourself as you are and being proud of your improvements keep you coming back for more.
